About this role

We are looking for an energetic and detail oriented on-call banquet server to join our growing staff. In this role, you will work alongside current team members to cater events. Candidates should possess an efficient work ethic, friendly professional demeanor, and comfort being on feet for hours.

Assist with table and meeting space prep before events, read and execute all BEO’s, and set up display stations and pop-up bars to FQI standards. Help with food and buffet preparation before and during events while ensuring safe food handling guidelines. Arrange food on serving trays aesthetically and deliver from kitchen to meeting space timely.

Serve appetizers, plated items, open wine, take drink orders, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Always remain guest focused aiming for 100% satisfaction and completion of all BEO’s. Work as a team member, communicating with peers and supervisors for efficient operations and guest satisfaction.

Assist with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down. Maintain courteous hospitable demeanor under pressure amid large crowds. Flexible schedule supports days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic hospitality environment.

  • Excellent, professional communication skills

  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • Work under pressure or in the presence of a large guest crowd while maintaining courteous and hospitable demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task
  • Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Assist with table and meeting space prep before the event
  • Read and execute all BEO’s

  • Assist with food/buffet preparation before and during the event
  • Ensure safe food handling guidelines are followed by self and team members
  • Deliver food from the kitchen and/or prep area to the meeting space in a timely manner
  • Serve appetizers and plated items to guests
  • Assist with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down
