MICE Manager

Pullman Kuching is a 5-star hotel with 389 keys, stunning panoramic views of Kuching City and the Sarawak River, and well-equipped MICE facilities. As MICE Manager, direct all function room related activities to ensure smooth unit operations. The hotel hosts numerous international and regional events as a key player in Kuching’s MICE industry.

Day-to-day involves administering the Sales & Catering system (Opera), distributing work to the MICE division, and maintaining the banquet supporters database. Assess selling opportunities by monitoring wedding and social event business, creating creative packages with organizers. Prepare and update banquet revenue forecasts regularly.

Motivate and train the Event & Group Planner for best performance, assign responsibilities to subordinates, and check performance periodically. Establish good working relationships within the department and other related departments. Liaise with clients, disseminate group information, and chair pre-convention meetings.

Oversee function operations, ensure quality service delivery, and maintain visibility to organizers during events. Maximize revenue through yield management and ensure function space sells according to guidelines. Participate in exhibitions and capitalize on hotel and community activities for extra customers.
