Join as a Catering Banquet Server to deliver exceptional service for unforgettable dining experiences at culinary events. This part-time, fully on-site role makes you the face of seamless member and guest interactions.
Deliver top-notch service with a smile, interacting friendly and professionally while learning names to personalize the atmosphere. Set up food and beverage stations, guest tables, and event areas before arrival, then handle swift take-down afterward. Take food orders, relay to kitchen for prompt accurate filling, monitor distribution, and address special dietary needs.
Collaborate with the Banquet Captain or Catering Manager to execute events smoothly, reviewing Banquet Event Orders and suggesting improvements from experience. Work flexibly on a variety of events, sometimes managing multiple assignments. Maintain a safe, clean environment with equipment and supplies properly stored after each event.
Stay informed about club offerings to answer guest questions and attend training classes to enhance skills. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of food and beverage service operations
- Prior experience in private dining or banquets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card
- OLCC Service Permit
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more
Responsibilities
- Deliver top-notch service during catering functions and interact with members, guests, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
- Set up food and beverage stations, guest tables, and event areas before guest arrival
- Take food orders and relay them to the kitchen, ensuring prompt and accurate fulfillment
- Monitor food distribution and address special dietary needs
- Collaborate with Banquet Captain or Catering Manager to ensure smooth event execution and review Banquet Event Orders
- Maintain a safe and clean environment around catering areas with equipment and supplies in proper locations
- Work flexibly with the team on a variety of events, sometimes managing multiple assignments simultaneously
- Continuously learn about club offerings and attend training classes to enhance skills
