Clean and prepare guest rooms by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues. Retrieve items from shelves, set up cleaning carts with supplies, and maintain them in orderly fashion. Thoroughly clean bathrooms, windows, walls, floors, and fixtures using ladders or stools as needed.

Requirements

  • No formal education or training required
  • Ability to use ladders or stools to clean hard-to-reach areas
  • Physical ability to lift mattresses, move heavy furniture, and operate vacuums weighing up to 25lbs
  • Attention to detail for inspecting cleanliness and equipment functionality
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and wash floors by hand
  • Friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work independently and maintain organized storerooms
  • Reliability in reporting unsafe conditions or maintenance issues promptly

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning cart with supplies, and maintain carts and storerooms in clean and orderly fashion
  • Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, fixtures, bathrooms, mirrors, sinks, and exposed pipes
  • Replace towels, soaps, room amenities, and restock literature for arriving guests
  • Strip bed of linen, remake with fresh, check bedspread, blankets, pads for cleanliness, and lift mattresses to check for soil
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, wall hangings, vents, and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas, hallways, and under furniture, operating vacuums up to 25lbs
  • Inspect door and window locks, room equipment like TV, lights, faucets for working order and report deficiencies
  • Secure equipment, keys, and supplies at all times and perform other duties as assigned
