About this role

The Banquet Server is responsible for the completion of all tasks related to set up, service, and break down of all Banquet events. This role fulfills all guest service needs according to 1 Hotel standards, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience. As an on-call team member, you will support various events from intimate gatherings to large celebrations.

Anticipate and understand guests’ service needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently to concerns. Greet, welcome, and acknowledge all guests by name, using professional language at all times. Remain attentive, providing dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in banquet or event service preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, tables, and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Knowledge of proper table setting, silverware placement, and service etiquette.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow event orders precisely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Flexibility to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all tasks related to set up, service, and break down of Banquet events according to 1 Hotel standards.

  • Greet, welcome, and acknowledge all guests by name, using professional language at all times.
  • Provide dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic service while remaining attentive to guest needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide courteous, friendly service to internal and external guests.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings to learn event details, including property and guest expectations.
  • Collect and transport all supplies needed for event set-up, including china, glass, silver, linen, tables, chairs, and decor.
