About this role
As an Events Manager with Opry Entertainment Group, you will oversee the life cycle of assigned events for a restaurant, bar, and entertainment destination in Las Vegas. You will manage food and beverage activities and services to ensure the smooth execution of all functions and special events.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients from event confirmation through completion, building master project plans that address specific objectives and needs. You will coordinate with internal departments and vendors on creative development, manage budgets, and lead event setup to ensure cleanliness, safety, and client satisfaction.
You will direct service staff in the successful execution of private and special events, modeling teamwork, service, and integrity to foster a positive and productive work environment. Pre- and post-shift meetings are conducted for all events, and you will actively lead and participate in servicing clients while supervising servers to meet all service standards.
This role reports to the Assistant General Manager and offers the opportunity to work with a premier hospitality brand in a dynamic Las Vegas venue. You will collaborate with sales and venue leadership to maximize event utilization, revenue, and operational efficiencies while delivering unforgettable guest experiences.
Requirements
- Experience managing events in a restaurant, bar, or entertainment destination environment.
- Ability to build master project plans that address specific client objectives and needs.
- Strong budget management skills with the ability to keep clients informed of deviations from plan.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise service staff to ensure all service standards are met.
- Experience collaborating with culinary teams on menu selections and service timing.
- Knowledge of inventory control for supplies, equipment, and furniture in an event setting.
- Ability to communicate and uphold corporate standards, guidelines, and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Demonstrated ability to model teamwork, service, and integrity to foster a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the life cycle of assigned events, including managing food and beverage activities and services to ensure smooth execution of all functions and events.
- Serve as primary point of contact with rental and special event clients from event confirmation through completion, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors on creative development and advancement of events and special projects.
- Review all banquet event orders to ensure they are correct and distributed accordingly; coordinate with the culinary team regarding menu selections and service timing.
- Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings for all events and supervise servers to ensure all service standards are met.
- Maximize upsell opportunities and ensure all invoices and payments are submitted to Accounting accurately and within established deadlines.
- Project supply needs for the department and control inventory of supplies, equipment, and furniture.
- Provide staff with necessary training, including customer service, serving etiquette, and new food and beverage offerings.
