About this role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the day-to-day functions of the housekeeping department. This role ensures excellent customer service and adherence to the department’s requirements and standards. It contributes to the organization as an active business partner supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Major areas of responsibility include thoroughly inspecting assigned areas to provide feedback on cleanliness and maintenance against standards. The supervisor ensures prompt return of clean rooms to reception during guest room inspections and corrections. This maintains operational flow for incoming guests.

The position provides supervision, coaching and training to House Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Turndown Attendants and Room Attendants. It requires knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations and service techniques including cost controls for manpower and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hotel housekeeping function
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations
  • Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower, productivity and other expenses
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly inspect assigned areas to provide feedback to management and associates on cleanliness and maintenance against standards.
  • Provide supervision, coaching and training to House Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Turndown Attendants and Room Attendants.
  • Ensure prompt return of clean rooms to reception when corrections are made during guest room inspections.
  • Monitor housekeeping service techniques and cost controls such as manpower and productivity.
  • Support daily department operations while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
