About this role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician II performs maintenance services to all Company facilities, ensuring they meet or exceed operational requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining repair costs and reporting the status of facilities maintenance requests.
Day-to-day duties include performing repairs, upgrading of facilities and grounds, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC work. The technician prioritizes tasks, diagnoses needed repairs, and leads project and task assignments.
The incumbent collaborates with key internal and external resources, teams up with building principals and supervisors to complete projects, and communicates with contractors and vendors regarding service requirements and costs. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently under minimal daily supervision.

Requirements
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal daily supervision
- Ability to read basic blueprints and general building code knowledge
- Knowledge of drywall (tape, bed, texture, and paint) and ability to hang ceiling grid and tiles
- Ability to perform door adjustments and maintenance, including lock replacement
- Understanding of flooring (carpet, tile, cove base removal, replacement, and installation)
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
- Ability to replace lights and understanding of breakers, voltage, wattage, and current
- Have an eye for detail and quality of work product
Responsibilities
- Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership tools, models, and processes
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrading of facilities and grounds, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC
- Prioritize tasks and projects to ensure all work is completed safely, on-schedule, and according to specification
- Monitor, evaluate, and report ongoing status of facilities, buildings, and equipment
- Manage and monitor costs by auditing invoices to meet budgetary guidelines
- Communicate with contractors and vendors regarding service requirements and costs
- Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor used
- Inspect work to ensure jobs are completed and areas are clean
