About this role

As Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, you will manage banquet operations to maximize both profit and guest satisfaction. You will ensure team members deliver excellent service while being effectively supervised, motivated, and encouraged.

Your day-to-day involves coordinating banquet operations, planning duty rosters, and staffing needs for events. You will greet function organizers on arrival, resolve complaints during shifts, and log all issues for follow-up, while monitoring guest facilities and coordinating with Engineering for repairs.

You will work closely with your team, communicating regularly to build good relations and conducting on-the-job training to ensure all members attend as scheduled. This role requires supervising cash handling and banking procedures, as well as ensuring all event order details are delivered with quality.

You will assist in preparing the hotel's annual budget, financial reports, and cost forecasts for the department, while monitoring budget and controlling costs. Requirements

  • Minimum qualification in Diploma
  • At least 2 years of experience at a supervisory level, including management experience
  • Able to motivate and lead colleagues
  • Familiarity with property safety, first aid, and fire and emergency procedures
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Experience in cash handling and banking procedures
  • Ability to monitor budget, control costs, and recycle whenever possible
