In the General Manager’s absence, you assume full responsibility for floor management, from entertainment to Food & Beverage to property equipment. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling staff, executing marketing strategies, and building strong relationships with league bowlers to drive sales. You’ll also oversee the F&B program, maintaining high quality standards and a thriving sales culture.
You’ll recruit, hire, train, and schedule a talented team of hourly staff, leveraging individual strengths to maximize guest satisfaction and center productivity. Delegation and effective motivation are key as you lead the team and develop their talents. Your commitment to guest service and operational excellence never wavers.
This role is a great starting point if you aspire to become a General Manager. You’ll gain valuable experience in all aspects of center management while working in a lively, entertainment-focused environment. With flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, you’ll be ready to step up when needed.
Requirements
- Ready to fill in for the General Manager as needed
- Strong guest service sensibility combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible to support the center through extended workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Dedicated team player who excels at developing the talents of hourly staff
- Looking to ultimately take the next step towards becoming a General Manager
- Prior management experience in a hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Be a champion for our guests, consistently delivering exceptional service and resolving complaints
- Schedule staffing levels to meet center needs and maximize the guest experience
- Execute marketing strategies to drive sales, including leagues and open play bowling
- Develop and maintain relationships with league bowlers and officers to grow league business
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule a talented team of hourly center staff
- Lead the team through effective motivation and leverage individual strengths to ensure guest satisfaction and productivity
- Oversee management and expansion of the Food & Beverage program, ensuring quality standards and a thriving sales culture
- Work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and extended workdays as needed
