Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with proven troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Proficient in hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and facility management standards
  • Skilled in problem-solving, task prioritization, and time management with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communicator able to work well with guests, staff, and contractors
  • Physically able to perform maintenance tasks including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
  • Prior maintenance or facilities experience, ideally in hospitality or similar setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and elevators
  • Diagnose issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime
  • Conduct preventive inspections and address potential problems proactively
  • Oversee property upkeep including interior, exterior, and landscaping
  • Prioritize and complete maintenance requests and work orders to support guest satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and environmental standards
  • Manage contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects
  • Respond promptly to emergencies such as outages, floods, and equipment failures
