Requirements

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with proven troubleshooting and repair skills
Proficient in hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and facility management standards
Skilled in problem-solving, task prioritization, and time management with strong attention to detail
Effective communicator able to work well with guests, staff, and contractors
Physically able to perform maintenance tasks including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
Prior maintenance or facilities experience, ideally in hospitality or similar setting

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and elevators
Diagnose issues and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime
Conduct preventive inspections and address potential problems proactively
Oversee property upkeep including interior, exterior, and landscaping
Prioritize and complete maintenance requests and work orders to support guest satisfaction
Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and environmental standards
Manage contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects
Respond promptly to emergencies such as outages, floods, and equipment failures
