As a Front Desk Agent at Cambria Hotel South Boston, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay.
Your day-to-day involves processing all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys. You will handle all payment types, resolve late and disputed charges during check-outs, and answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
You will coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in and communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors, dispatching bell staff or valet staff as needed. Running daily reports on arrivals and departures, identifying special requests, and checking reports for accuracy are also key parts of the role.

Requirements
- Previous hotel experience is highly preferred
- Ability to process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and computer-based reporting
- Strong cash handling skills and experience with closing reports and bank counts
- Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with housekeeping and valet staff
- Attention to detail for managing reservations, special requests, and billing discrepancies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple guest requests simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys
- Process all payment types including room charges and handle check-outs, resolving any late and disputed charges
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
- Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors, dispatching bell staff or valet staff as needed
- Run daily reports on number of arrivals and departures, identify special requests, and check reports for accuracy
- Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system, count bank at beginning and end of shift, and balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
- Perform concierge duties such as supplying guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
