General Managers at Zaxbys provide guidance and leadership to their team to create a positive culture and maintain high team morale. They execute and assist in the development of action plans according to company goals and objectives. Daily operations focus on staffing, team member development, sales growth, cost management, guest experience, and upholding brand standards.
Team members ensure the restaurant delivers great experiences to guests while maintaining appropriate staffing levels through sourcing, interviewing, hiring, retaining, and recognizing top performers. They create effective work schedules timely to drive sales and control labor costs, planning and delegating shift assignments with clear expectations. Service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld across all shifts.
Managers foster a positive culture and healthy team morale by serving as an example and role model, offering ongoing mentoring, coaching, and development. They hold team members accountable for performance and complete performance reviews for crew members while assisting with manager reviews. Compliance with all Zaxbys Franchising LLC, Zax LLC, federal, state, and local guidelines is maintained.

Requirements
- Complete Zaxbys General Manager Development Plan and Operations Excellence Capstone Class
- Food Safety Certification
- Manager Certification
- Any additional training required by Zax LLC
- Maintain compliance with Zaxbys Franchising LLC, Zax LLC, federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the restaurant delivers great experiences to guests
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels by sourcing, interviewing, hiring, retaining, and recognizing top performers
- Ensure team members receive proper training including ongoing mentoring, coaching, and development while holding team members accountable
- Ensure effective work schedules are created timely and appropriately to drive sales and control labor costs
- Plan and delegate shift assignments including communicating expectations and adjusting as needed
- Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
- Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale by providing guidance and leadership
- Manage profitability through driving sales, controlling costs, and ensuring operational standards
