Hotel General Manager

About this role

Requirements

• At least 2 years' Full Service F&B Experience
• At least 3 years' Full Service GM Experience
• Experience managing subordinate supervisors in Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Front Desk, and Sales Departments
• Knowledge of KHC policies, franchise agreements, and state, federal, local laws
• Proficiency in revenue management, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash handling
• Ability to oversee safety programs including MSDS, lock out tag out, and blood-borne pathogens
• Skills in recruitment, hiring, training, employee relations, and benefits administration

Responsibilities

• Reinforce standards for hotel personnel administration, performance, service to patrons, room rates, and compliance with policies and laws
• Oversee overall financial performance including Revenue Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Handling, and Purchasing
• Develop and manage operating budgets in conjunction with subordinate managers and Director of Operations
• Ensure compliance with franchise agreements through inspections, reports, standards, and guest relations
• Monitor recruitment, hiring, training, development, orientation, and employee relations for all hotel staff
• Oversee safety training and programs including MSDS, lock out tag out, blood-borne pathogens, and fire procedures
• Hold weekly staff meetings and ensure department heads accountability for revenue and departmental meetings
• Inspect guests' rooms, public areas, and grounds; answer complaints and ensure guest satisfaction
