This role supports day-to-day marketing and event coordination activities for NUS Enterprise, focusing on high-profile university events such as A5X, SWITCH, NUS Open House, and the Student Life Fair. The coordinator will assist with event registration, guest management, and attendee communications to ensure seamless experiences.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing event materials like name badges, signage, run sheets, briefing notes, and collaterals. On-site support involves ushering, desk registration, VIP handling, and speaker support, requiring a professional demeanor and strong customer service attitude.

The coordinator works closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth event operations, while also contributing to social media and email marketing efforts. Basic design skills are used to adapt brand templates for event-specific assets such as pull-up banners, digital backdrops, and name tags.

This hourly-rated position offers hands-on experience in both marketing and event planning within a dynamic university ecosystem. The role demands flexibility for evenings or weekends during event days, providing exposure to large-scale events that drive engagement on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in event support, marketing, communications, hospitality, or admin work preferred.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good customer service attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Basic knowledge of Design tools to adapt brand templates for event-specific assets.
  • Flexible to work evenings or weekends if required for event days.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day marketing and event coordination activities.
  • Assist with event registration, guest management, and attendee communications.
  • Help prepare event materials such as name badges, signage, run sheets, briefing notes, and collaterals.
  • Provide on-site event support including ushering, desk registration, VIP handling, and speaker support.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Assist with social media, email marketing, and basic content updates where needed.
  • Help capture event photos, attendance, feedback, and post-event data.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, tracking responses, and updating spreadsheets.
