About this role

As a Restaurant Maintenance Technician, you keep our restaurants running safely and reliably by diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and restoring equipment across HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen systems, and building components. You ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time to support smooth operations.

Day-to-day, you support an average of 10 restaurants and work 42 hours per week. You diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and beverage systems, responding to service calls and emergency needs. You take total ownership of each restaurant from curb to curb.

You collaborate with restaurant and maintenance leadership, communicating clearly on repair status and next steps. You also coordinate third-party vendors when specialized work is outsourced. You maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and beverage systems
  • Ability to perform interior and exterior repairs including basic carpentry, plumbing, and intermediate electrical work
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work full-time hours with an on-call rotation once a month
  • Willingness to travel locally and long distances, including air travel
  • Experience using work order systems and mobile technology for documentation

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and beverage systems
  • Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance needs to restore equipment and facility functionality
  • Complete and document repairs in accordance with work order priority and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Take total ownership of the restaurant from curb to curb
  • Perform interior and exterior restaurant repairs, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and intermediate electrical work
  • Manage work orders, service documentation, and parts inventory using company systems and mobile technology
  • Communicate effectively with restaurant leadership, maintenance team leadership, and vendors on repair status and next steps
