
About this role
We are looking for experienced Hotel Engineer ready to join cruise vessel SILVER WIND. Embarkation 07/Feb/2026, contract 3 months on/off, required experienced as such, good references/recommendations. Responsible for effectively and efficiently overseeing maintenance of all hotel machinery, systems and equipment.
Execution of repair and maintenance work in all areas carried out outside of the Engine Room. Ensures proper coordination with different technical parties and departments. Supporting Engine operation when needed.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer with functional reporting to Hotel Director for all technical Hotel Department matters. Subordinates include AC Fitter, Plumber, Hotel Fitter and their assistants. Works in all areas of the vessel with noise, light traffic and distracting environments.
Participates in crew safety drills according to instructions. Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others. Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly.
Requirements
- Valid STCW95 certification
- Valid CoC A-III/2
- Extensive experience in subordinate positions and on board passenger ships as Hotel Engineer or in a similar role
- Preferable experience with Wartsila engines
- Physically and medically fit
- Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical)
- Good working knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft applications
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals
Responsibilities

- Oversee maintenance of all hotel machinery, systems and equipment in accordance with Company Policies, any National or International standards and any other prescribed regulations
- Support Engine operation when needed
- Ensure proper coordination with different technical parties and departments
- Report to the Chief Engineer
- Provide functional reporting to Hotel Director for all technical Hotel Department matters
- Supervise AC Fitter, Plumber, Hotel Fitter and their assistants
- Participate in crew safety drills and comply with safety and pollution prevention regulations
