About this role

As a Union Room Attendant with Marriott Vacations Worldwide, you will be the frontline of guest service, ensuring every room meets the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Your primary role involves responding promptly to requests from guests and other departments, creating a welcoming and restful environment.

Each day, you will fill a cart with supplies and transport it to your assigned area, entering guest rooms following strict procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy. Your tasks include replacing guest amenities and linens, making beds, folding terry, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash—all while checking that appliances are present and in working order.

You will work as part of a supportive team that values safety and professionalism. Following all company and security policies, you will report any maintenance problems or hazards, complete safety training, and maintain a clean, professional appearance—always welcoming and acknowledging guests with genuine appreciation.

Requirements

  • Attention to customer service with a professional and pleasant personality
  • Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language and support team to reach common goals
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Follow all company and safety policies, including proper storage of flammable materials

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  • Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area
  • Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
  • Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms; replace dirty linens and terry with clean items
  • Make beds, fold terry, clean bathrooms, and remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
  • Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order; straighten desk items and furniture
  • Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings; vacuum carpets in guest rooms and hallways
  • Follow all company safety and security policies, report maintenance problems or hazards, and complete safety training
