About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-driven individual to join our team at Heritage Hotels & Resorts, where every dining experience is shaped by warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality. As a restaurant server, you set the tone for the guest's visit and turn great food and drinks into something truly special.

You will take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and monitor tables throughout the meal to anticipate needs like refills or additional courses. Your day includes delivering food and beverages according to service standards, performing quality checks after each course, and coordinating timing with the kitchen to maintain smooth pacing.

You will work alongside a supportive team that values community pride and authentic storytelling. Opening, running, and closing side work keeps service areas polished, and you assist teammates by running food, clearing tables, or supporting bar and host staff during peak periods.

Requirements

  • Clear, friendly, and professional verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail while committing to service standards
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu items to confidently answer guest questions
  • Basic math skills for accurate payment processing and making change
  • Ability to carry a tray with multiple plates and beverages safely
  • Must meet minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages as per state law

Responsibilities

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system
  • Monitor tables throughout the meal to anticipate needs such as refills, condiments, or additional courses
  • Deliver food and beverages according to service standards, ensuring proper presentation
  • Perform quality checks after each course to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Coordinate timing of courses with the kitchen to maintain smooth pacing
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work including stocking, polishing glassware and silverware, and refilling stations
  • Assist teammates by running food, clearing tables, or resetting sections as needed
  • Answer menu questions confidently and offer thoughtful recommendations to enhance the guest dining experience
