At Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, our servers are the curators of our guests’ impression, responsible for dispensing hospitality, knowledge, and guiding guests through the dining experience. We are a neighborhood seafood bar with a wild vibe, bringing the coast to the coast-less with incredible memories and delicious food and drink.

Servers must be detail oriented and committed to steps of service and etiquette, thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. They are experts in food and wine service, eager to learn, and ready to jump into any service role needed while staying cool under pressure.

Our team is a collective of fiercely independent restaurants rooted in Boulder, Colorado, dedicated to the happiness of our guests and the success of our team. The atmosphere is lively with rocks popping, drinks shaking, and laughter happening—a scene you want to be part of.

We offer a team service tip pool model where all hourly employees share tips, with earning potential starting at $24-$34 per hour. With opportunities for advancement and a commitment to selfless hospitality, this role is perfect for passionate restaurant professionals looking to grow.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to steps of service and etiquette.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Expertise in food and wine service; Sommelier or Cicerone certification a plus.
  • Selfless hospitality mindset and a passion for creating remarkable guest experiences.
  • Ability to remain cool under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
  • Full availability for nights and weekends (full-time or part-time).
  • Tips and Responsible Alcohol Service certification (training provided if needed).
