About this role

The ideal candidate provides the highest level of service for all guests at the JW Marriott Grand Rapids. This full-time role includes working at the front desk, AYS phone system station, and concierge lounge as needed. A teamwork attitude and strong attention to detail ensure exceptional experiences in every guest and employee interaction.

Daily work involves operating the Marriott FSPMS Property Management System for high-volume check-ins and checkouts. Responsibilities include managing calls from guestrooms and outside lines while following cash handling procedures outlined by accounting. Agents take ownership to resolve concerns at first contact and complete all daily responsibilities on the cleaning task list.

Team members maintain active communication with Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other outlets. They provide basic Grand Rapids area knowledge such as directions and dining recommendations. All work follows AHC handbook policies, standard operating procedures, and JW Marriott Brand Standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours
  • Proficient verbal and written communication required
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Guest Satisfaction Systems like Medallia
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Salesforce/GXP system knowledge preferred
  • Hospitality Degree from a higher education institution preferred

Responsibilities
