About this role
Sterling Restaurants LLC is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations at our Moe's Southwest Grill in Melbourne. This role is responsible for ensuring every guest enjoys a satisfying dining experience while optimizing profits through Sterling Systems.
Day-to-day, you will oversee all areas of the restaurant, from guest service and food safety to financial performance and team development. You will respond to guest complaints, enforce sanitary practices, manage food flow from ordering to serving, and complete all necessary reports in a timely manner.
You will lead a team of managers, shift leaders, and team members, providing ongoing feedback and conducting performance reviews. The goal is to create a work environment known in the community as 'the place to work' while maintaining a professional image and uniform standards.

Requirements
- Must be ServSafe certified.
- Must be certified Moe's Manager.
- Ability to maintain a score of 90% or higher for all city/county health inspections and Steritech inspections.
- Ability to maintain a score of 90% or higher on the Moe's corporate Rose Inspection.
- Experience managing food flow from ordering through serving to ensure quality and low waste.
- Proven ability to meet sales, labor hours, and food/paper cost goals.
- Experience with monthly P&L analysis to drive profitability improvements.
- Ability to book one spirit night per month and maintain a strong community presence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant to ensure guest satisfaction and increased profitability.
- Ensure 100% guest satisfaction in Quality, Service & Cleanliness; respond to complaints to turn dissatisfied guests into regulars.
- Provide direction to team members regarding operational and procedural issues, following the Moe's Way.
- Maintain an accurate staffing needs plan, interview prospective employees, and follow the 4 steps of staffing.
- Develop all team members by providing ongoing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance to achieve 90%+ on health inspections and Steritech inspections.
- Manage food flow from ordering, receiving, storing, and serving to ensure high quality, proper portioning, and low waste.
- Utilize the monthly P&L to analyze areas for profitability improvement and implement effective plans.
