LodgeWorks, a privately held hotel development and management company with a strong family culture, is actively hiring a Maintenance Technician for the AAA Four Diamond Archer Hotel in Florham Park. This industrial-chic boutique hotel features 161 luxe guest rooms and suites, the first-floor AKB hotel bar, an indoor pool, and extensive meeting and event space.

As part of the Maintenance team, you will perform all necessary repairs and preventive maintenance as directed by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor to maintain a safe, attractive, and efficiently operated hotel. Your day-to-day involves basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms, and public spaces, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and snow and ice removal.

You will also assist with preventive maintenance, complete work orders in a timely manner, and respond courteously to all guest questions and requests to ensure outstanding satisfaction. The role includes servicing the hotel's pool by adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, maintaining the building's exterior and curb appeal, and assisting with setting up and breaking down banquet and meeting rooms.

Requirements

Ability to perform basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms, and public spaces
Experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and related maintenance activities
Ability to use two-way radios, telephones, general office equipment, and various types of maintenance equipment
Capability to service a hotel pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters
Ability to respond to emergency situations and notify appropriate authorities and managers
Must be able to follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a hazard-free work environment
Ability to assist with loss prevention to ensure the safety and security of guests and associates

Responsibilities

Perform basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms, and public spaces
Maintain building by performing basic repairs, carpentry, shoveling, clean-up work, snow and ice removal, plumbing, electrical, painting, and other related maintenance activities
Inspect and maintain machinery and equipment for conformance with operations and safety standards
Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, and complete maintenance request forms and record logs
Assist with preventive maintenance and complete work orders in a timely manner
Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction
Maintain the building’s exterior and curb appeal, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
Assist with setting up, tearing down, and cleaning up banquet and meeting rooms as assigned
