About this role

The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. As a Laundry Attendant, you play a key role in achieving spotless cleanliness and contributing to happy guests by ensuring linens are fresh and available throughout their stay.

You perform all stages of linen processing including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading washers and dryers, folding, storing, and delivering linens. You also wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, and rags, and maintain the laundry facility by sweeping and mopping floors.

Teamwork is essential — all team members work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores. Clear communication and a willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles are valued as you greet guests happily while cleaning and use their names when possible.

Success is measured through guest satisfaction scores, management spot checks, and accurate completion of operational checklists. MCR's focus on product consistency and quality provides a structured environment where your contributions are recognized through performance ratings and checklist tracking.

Requirements

  • Commitment to providing spotless cleanliness and a friendly, welcoming environment for guests.
  • Ability to greet guests happily by name and handle challenging guest situations with hospitality.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete operational checklists accurately and on time.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed.
  • Basic understanding of washing machine and dryer operation, as well as safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Can-do attitude with a willingness to stretch beyond traditional role to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all stages of linen processing including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading washers and dryers, folding, storing, and delivering linens.
  • Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, and rags as directed by management.
  • Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts, then fold clean linens and stock linen carts.
  • Operate washing machines and dryers, clean dryer filters as directed, and maintain all laundry equipment per training.
  • Sweep and mop laundry floors, keep laundry carts clean and free of debris, and store all linens off the floor.
  • Replace and replenish cleaning chemicals as needed.
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed to ensure the hotel is well-organized and safe.
