About this role

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner by checking guests in and out of the hotel. They also collect monies for services rendered during a guest's stay.

On a daily basis, this role involves confirming credit and payment methods at check-in and full payment at checkout, balancing the bank, and running arrival reports. Log all requests through the brand tracking tool and book reservations for future stays.

The work environment requires maintaining regular attendance and high standards of appearance while complying with all Peachtree Hospitality Management standards. Agents must approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner, even under stressful situations.

This position offers opportunities for professional growth by attending all training and meetings requested by management. Agents complete required brand training and develop skills in guest services and hotel operations through varied daily duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high pressured situations.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Check all guests into and out of the hotel in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Confirm credit and payment method at check-in and full payment at checkout.
  • Book reservations for day of arrival or future stays.
  • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shift.
  • Balance bank daily and conduct daily bank drop with a witness.
  • Log all requests and confirm completion through brand tracking tool.
  • Run daily arrival report and highlight all special requests.
