Boyd Gaming Corporation, a premier casino entertainment company, is seeking a Night Auditor for the grave shift at our hotel front desk. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely entry of hotel revenue into our accounting systems.

During the overnight shift, you will audit and process source documents, oversee all close day functions, and ensure all rooms are checked in with payments secured. You will also coordinate the distribution of various hotel system reports and maintain support documentation for the filing system.

As the manager on duty during the audit shift, you will assist guests and other departments, providing superior customer service and handling difficult situations with resilience. You will also assist in training and supervising staff to ensure they have the guidance and resources needed to succeed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency with adding machine and computer input terminal
  • Ability to solve mathematically oriented problems
  • Accounting background helpful
  • Clerical background preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • AS/400 computer system, adding machine and typewriter experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations

Responsibilities

  • Review and process source data to provide accurate and timely entry to accounting systems and sub-systems
  • Audit and process source documents in accordance with established departmental procedures to facilitate timely and accurate recording of hotel and related revenue
  • Initiate the generation of and coordinate the distribution of various hotel system reports
  • Oversee all close day functions in the front office and ensure all rooms are checked in and payments are secured
  • Assist all guests and other departments during the audit shift in the capacity of manager on duty in their absence
  • Notify the Hotel Manager of any potential discrepancies and assist with research and resolution of problems
  • Assist in training and supervising staff to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established job requirements
  • Maintain support documentation for the established filing system
