About this role

As a Room Attendant at Sutton Place Hotel Toronto, you will promote a positive image of the property to guests and serve as a brand ambassador. Your attention to detail and ability to address problems or special requests will create positive brand experiences for every guest.

Your day-to-day work involves preparing guestrooms to a high standard and ensuring public spaces are clean and well presented. You will also perform laundry tasks, respond to guest inquiries promptly, and ensure lost property items are properly recorded and stored.

Requirements

Must be pleasant, friendly, and able to address problems or special requests.
Great attention to detail and self-motivated to work both independently and in a team.
Care about your work and the positive impact it can have on our guests.
Manual dexterity required to use various cleaning apparatus and supplies.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and engage in regular physical activity including walking, standing, lifting, crouching, and kneeling.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada as the employer does not have an LMIA to support a foreign worker.

Responsibilities

Prepare guestrooms to a high standard.
Ensure public spaces are clean and well presented.
Perform laundry tasks including collecting, sorting, distributing, and stocking.
Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
Ensure all lost property items left in guest rooms or public spaces are properly recorded and stored.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all chemicals and cleaning products and their correct handling procedures.
Report any maintenance and/or health and safety issues.
Support houseperson duties when required and perform special projects such as steam cleaning and deep cleaning.
