The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the restaurant's overall operations. This role ensures that all company standards are met, policies are followed, and costs are properly controlled. Customers must be served quickly and efficiently.

On each shift, the manager communicates clearly with employees and supervises them effectively to complete their assignments. Inventory is monitored, supplies are reordered, and the Par Prep Sheet is adjusted to keep fresh product available.

The manager observes and guides crewmembers as they perform their assignments, reallocating labor and coordinating overall operations. This ensures that the restaurant runs smoothly and meets performance goals set by the company. The General Manager plays a key role in maintaining high standards of customer service.

With proven success, this role offers advancement opportunities within the company's regional management structure. The General Manager position serves as a critical leadership link between the crew and upper management. Successful managers can progress to area coach or multi-unit manager roles.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in food-service management
  • Six months of experience as an Assistant Manager (preferred)
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Experience with restaurant point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees and delegate tasks effectively
