About this role

Parrot Key Hotel & Villas delivers a relaxed, upscale island experience set across lush tropical grounds just minutes from Old Town Key West. As a Hotel Engineer I, you will help maintain the beautiful resort environment that creates memorable experiences for our guests.

You will perform routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot equipment, and support preventative maintenance efforts across guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. Every detail contributes to the guest experience, and our Engineering team plays a key role in maintaining the quality and comfort our guests expect.

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual who enjoys solving problems, learning new skills, and taking pride in maintaining a high-quality resort environment. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, bend, stand, and perform maintenance activities for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays as business demands require
  • Previous maintenance, engineering, construction, or hospitality experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the property
  • Troubleshoot equipment and support preventative maintenance efforts
  • Maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to the highest standards
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Lift, climb ladders, bend, stand, and perform maintenance activities for extended periods
  • Work varying schedules including weekends and holidays as business demands require
