About this role

Responsible for the cleanliness and arrangement of supplies in guest rooms to exceed guest expectations. This role ensures every room meets the highest standards of hospitality and comfort.

Daily tasks include cleaning vacant and occupied rooms, replenishing supplies like drinking glasses and writing materials, and spot cleaning carpets. You will also complete assigned room projects such as thresholds and edging, and maintain a clean, orderly housekeeping cart.

You will work under the Executive Housekeeping Manager and collaborate with maintenance to report damaged items. The team follows strict cleaning procedures and safety standards to provide a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

Training is provided on cleaning protocols, emergency procedures, and company policies. This role offers the opportunity to develop thorough knowledge of housekeeping standards and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Requirements

Ability to communicate with guests in English to provide the expected service level.
Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds; push and pull 60 pounds.
Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures (training provided).
Ability to follow cleaning procedures as trained by the Housekeeping Manager.
Practice safety standards at all times and be alert to hazardous conditions.
Must be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook and adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies.
Wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.

Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms to vacant ready or occupied clean status, including lighting fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, floors, carpets, and bathrooms.
Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
Assist in the general clean program by changing blankets, duvets, bedspreads, and mattress pads as required.
Complete assigned daily room projects like thresholds and edging.
Spot clean guest room carpets daily as the room is being cleaned.
Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart and restock it daily.
Report any damaged or inoperable room items to Maintenance via a work order and respond to guest requests immediately.
