Springwood Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team in Hershey. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleanliness and arrangement of supplies in guest rooms to exceed our guests' expectations.

Your day-to-day work involves cleaning and returning vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status, and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status. This includes thorough cleaning of lighting fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, floors, carpets, and bathroom areas, as well as replenishing supplies like drinking glasses and writing supplies.

You will assist in the general clean program by changing blankets, duvets, and mattress pads as required, and complete assigned daily room projects such as thresholds and edging. You will also help maintain other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition, including associate lounges, locker rooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house spaces.

This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment, with training provided by the Housekeeping Manager. You will be expected to practice safety standards at all times and respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately, ensuring the highest quality of service.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds; push and pull 60 pounds
Ability to communicate with guests in English to give them the service level expected
Thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
Willingness to follow cleaning procedures as trained by the Housekeeping Manager
Commitment to practicing safety standards and good sanitization habits at all times
Must be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook and adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company

Responsibilities

Clean and return vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status, and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied clean status
Thoroughly clean lighting fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, window coverings, floors, carpets, and bathroom and vanity areas
Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
Assist in the general clean program by changing blankets, duvets/bedspreads, and mattress pads as required
Complete assigned daily room projects such as thresholds and edging
Assist in the carpet care program by daily spot cleaning guest room carpets
Maintain a clean and orderly housekeeping cart and restock it daily
Report any damaged or inoperable room items to Maintenance via a work order
