About this role

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team at the Union Hotel Flemington. In this role, you’ll ensure all hotel equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently while assisting with preventative maintenance and repairs.

Day-to-day, you will perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the property’s facilities, respond promptly to guest requests with professionalism, and support other departments as needed. You’ll also assist the Chief Engineer with building and grounds projects, following all emergency and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in general maintenance, facility repair, or a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems preferred.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and customer-focused with a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all hotel equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep equipment and facilities in top condition.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer with building and grounds projects.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and maintain safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Support other departments when needed and follow all emergency and safety procedures.
