B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group operates more than 20 business class hotels under brands from Intercontinental, Marriott, Hilton and Best Western. The Banquet Server assists banquet staff by setting, clearing and resetting tables in an efficient and courteous manner while following all health regulations.

The role requires stocking supplies, performing basic cleaning duties and maintaining high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction. This full time position demands AM/PM flexibility including weekends and holidays.

Daily work centers on guest service, accurate order taking, proper serving techniques and active up-selling of specials. Side work includes cleaning stations, vacuuming, trash removal and restocking while controlling expenses through correct cash and equipment handling.

Team collaboration involves taking room service orders, assisting the bartender and supporting other departments to meet all guest needs. The position follows established attendance, grooming and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
  • TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired or ability to obtain certification required
  • One or more years of previous guest service experience required
  • Demonstrated exemplary customer service, attention to detail and ability to perform duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment
  • Ability to speak, understand and write English to meet guest needs
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly, positive and timely manner while following the guest service recovery program
  • Listens attentively, takes orders accurately and uses proper serving techniques while adhering to health regulations and liquor laws
  • Completes all required side work including cleaning restaurant areas, vacuuming, trash removal and stocking supplies
  • Follows cash handling and POS procedures and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste
  • Dispenses and serves food and beverages while maintaining a clean and safe work area in accordance with regulations
  • Produces required volume of work by planning and prioritizing duties and attends all required meetings
  • Takes room service orders, assists the bartender and works as a team player to meet guest needs
