About this role

The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and courteous service to every customer. Position requires ability to interact with the public, speak English clearly, remembering details, as well as physical exertion in the way of walking, standing, turning, bending, lifting, and carrying.

Greet all guests within one minute in a friendly and courteous manner using positive body language. Maintain full knowledge of menu, wine lists, and daily specials to efficiently handle guest inquiries. Complete designated opening and closing side work daily and check with manager before clocking out.

Work as one team assisting all employees in performing their duties whenever required. Adhere to all policies and procedures pertaining to liquor laws. Be hospitable, friendly, and polite with all guests, co-workers, and management using positive body language.

Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months from commencement of employment. Attend all necessary meetings and stay current with information security policies and guidelines. Duties are subject to change as needed to support a 24-hour schedule.

Requirements

  • Outgoing, friendly personality and a cheerful accommodating disposition.
  • Ability to interact with the public and speak English clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remember details.
  • Physical stamina for walking, standing, turning, bending, lifting, and carrying.
  • Knowledge of menu, wine lists, and daily specials.
  • Familiarity with check and cashing procedures.
  • Ability to pass all required SGC Training programs within nine months.

  • Assist guests with coats and chairs upon departure, thanking them and inviting them to return.
