We pride ourselves on serving high quality farm fresh food at Bob Evans, America's farm fresh destination. As General Manager, you will lead daily operations, manage staff, and execute company policies to drive profitability and deliver the best all-around family dining experience.

Your day-to-day includes hiring, training, and coaching team members while enforcing safe work behaviors and ensuring quality food and cleanliness standards. You will control food and labor costs, manage inventory, and maximize table turnover through effective scheduling and suggestive selling.

As a leader, you shape the culture of the restaurant and work diligently to ensure high employee engagement. You model professional behavior while creating a warm, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere that encourages everyone to do their BEST, and you meet and greet guests, resolving food quality and service issues to ensure 100% satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage food cost, labor cost, and other controllable items in a restaurant environment
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to develop team members and drive guest satisfaction
  • Knowledge of P&L management and ability to review financial reports and take appropriate actions
  • Ability to enforce safe work behaviors and ensure compliance with OSHA and local health codes
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced role that requires managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address food quality and service issues promptly

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations and staff, including execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees
  • Shape the culture of the restaurant and ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Coach and mentor team members to ensure employee success on the job and guest satisfaction
  • Champion sales building activities and suggestive selling to maximize table turnover, sales per guest, and sales per hour
  • Control food costs by following recipes and portion control; manage labor costs through effective scheduling and P&L management
  • Ensure OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met; enforce safe work behaviors
  • Meet and greet guests; investigate and resolve food quality and service issues to satisfy the guest 100%
