About this role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support multiple locations throughout Northern New Jersey. This position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and performing a wide variety of building repairs and facility maintenance tasks.

You will travel between locations daily to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, professional, and well-maintained. Daily duties include troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting issues, as well as performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.

You will work independently with support from a team environment that values reliability and problem-solving. The role offers company-provided tools and supplies, plus mileage reimbursement for travel between sites.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of maintenance, facilities, building, property, or handyman experience
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel between locations throughout the region

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs across multiple locations
  • Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting issues
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and complete preventive maintenance tasks
  • Repair doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, and equipment
  • Install and assemble office furniture and equipment
  • Coordinate repairs with outside vendors and contractors
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and maintain work orders
  • Travel between multiple locations daily to identify and correct safety concerns
