About this role

V.Ships Leisure seeks Public Area Attendants for Royal Caribbean International ships. This role maintains all public areas, crew public areas, outer decks, pools, jacuzzis, and public restrooms in clean, orderly condition. Attendants rotate through different areas as needed.

Daily tasks include operating steam cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms, and power tools while using various cleaners and chemicals. Mix water and detergents to prepare solutions according to specifications. Clean bathrooms, elevators, offices, crew corridors, carpets, upholstery, floors, walls, ceilings, windows, and accessories.

Follow Royal Caribbean International’s SOPs, SQM standards, USPH guidelines, environmental, and safety policies. Exemplify friendly, passionate, committed behavior in physical and verbal interactions with guests and shipboard employees. Perform functions across various service venues throughout the ship.

Assist with pool area maintenance, enforce lounge chair reservation SOPs, and ensure wet floors are mopped dry. Transport luggage during embarkation and disembarkation, collect soiled items, and empty wastebaskets. Attend meetings, training, and stay informed on ship events to answer guest questions.

Requirements

Experience in housekeeping, cleaning services in hotel, resort or cruise/ferry ships preferable
Ability to operate steam cleaning equipment, power tools and use various cleaners
Knowledge of mixing cleaning solutions and applying fabric conditioners
Familiarity with USPH guidelines, SOPs, SQM standards and safety policies
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties in public areas and decks
Customer-oriented for guest interactions and providing accurate ship information

Responsibilities

Operate steam cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms and power tools
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
Clean public bathrooms, elevators, offices and crew corridors
Clean carpet, upholstery, floors, walls, ceilings, draperies, windows and accessories
Dust furniture, wash windows, walls, polish fixtures and sanitize areas
Maintain safe, clean pool area including turf, open/close procedures and assist lifeguards
Enforce pool deck lounge chairs reservation SOPs and ensure wet floors are dried
Transport guests’ luggage, assist with waste collection and notify management of issues
