About this role

The AC Hotel Times Square is looking for an experienced Night Auditor to join an award winning team. This role involves executing guest reservation, check-in, check-out, payment, and service procedures in compliance with brand quality assurance standards. You will be the face of the hotel during overnight hours.

The Night Auditor maintains a friendly and hospitable attitude while present at the desk during all hours. They acquire knowledge of local attractions and amenities to provide guest service, and ensure collections including credit card and direct bill are executed per company policies. Optimizing rates by monitoring competitor occupancy is also key.

This role requires proper control over keys, safe deposits, and all company and guest property. You must complete required documentation in a timely manner and respond quickly to emergency situations. You will work closely with team members to ensure a seamless overnight operation.

Requirements

  • Fire Life Safety Director License (FLSD) required, or must complete the class and obtain certification within six months
  • Proficient in administration of applicable property management systems
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations
  • Experience in accurate cash handling and credit cards and in maintaining security of confidential information
  • Can pass certification tests required to meet brand standards
  • Experience working with a computer, especially data entry
  • Maintain a customer focus and encourage effective communication with guests and fellow team members

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly and hospitable attitude with guests and team members and be present at the desk during all hours
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local attractions and amenities to provide service to guests needing such information
  • Ensure collections, including credit card and direct bill, are executed in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain proper control over keys, safe deposits, and all company and guest property
  • Ensure rates are optimized by monitoring competitor occupancy and rates
  • Ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Properly quote daily rates and issue credits
