About this role

This Room Attendant position at DKN Hotels is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, hallways, and other areas as assigned while complying with DKN Hotels' standards. Team members maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests.

Daily tasks include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, and wiping down walls to meet DKN's standards. Room attendants clean within the minutes-per-room guideline and follow policy for room amenities. Lost items are turned in immediately to the manager.

The role involves communicating with guests and fellow team members while working in guestrooms, hallways, and storage rooms. Attendants assist with laundry and report maintenance items needing immediate attention. Security of the master room key is maintained and returned at shift end.

This position contributes to delivering DKN's 'Home Away From Home' experience by providing assistance to other team members and departments. Attendants are encouraged to live the DKN Values and maintain awareness of safety and security at all times. Opportunities to assist across departments help ensure the best overall performance of the hotel.

Requirements

  • Previous one (1) year experience preferred (not required).
  • Basic cleaning skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, management, and fellow team members.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
  • Dependable.
  • Physical ability to frequently walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, twist, crawl, lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Comfort with exposure to cleaning agents.
  • Awareness of safety and security importance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
  • Clean guest rooms to DKN Hotels’ standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, and wiping down walls.
  • Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager.
  • Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager immediately.
  • Maintain complete security of master room key and return it at the end of shift.
  • Report any maintenance items that need immediate attention.
  • Assist with laundry as needed.
  • Deliver DKN’s 'Home Away From Home' experience.
