About this role

As a Guest Room Attendant at MGM Resorts International, you'll be essential in providing exceptional comfort by meticulously cleaning and servicing our guestrooms. Your efforts ensure a welcoming environment that guests will cherish throughout their stay at our Springfield property.

Your day-to-day work includes making beds, vacuuming, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, and thoroughly cleaning bathrooms. You'll replenish guest amenities like soaps and towels, and report any unusual room conditions or maintenance needs to keep every room in top shape.

Requirements

Three (3) months of related housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
Experience in a similar resort setting is preferred.
Able and willing to work a part-time schedule from 9am to 5:45pm, involving three 8-hour shifts (24 hours per week) including weekends and holidays.
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a sparkling clean and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

Clean and service guestrooms, including making beds, vacuuming, emptying trash, and dusting surfaces.
Clean bathrooms by scrubbing basins, bathtubs, shower walls, toilets, and floors using appropriate cleaning methods.
Replenish guest amenities, including soaps, tissues, ashtrays, and information folders.
Place clean bathmats in tubs and ensure towels are neatly arranged on racks.
Report any unusual room conditions or maintenance needs to the appropriate team.
Complete all tasks according to the room classification checklist to maintain consistency.
